Joanna Skyles is a registered Patent Attorney for DiBerardino McGovern IP Group LLC (DMIP Group). Joanna has a background in Electrical Engineering.
Joanna’s practice has focused on patent preparation and prosecution. Her technical experience includes wireless communications technologies, virtual reality, video coding and processing, printing technology, image forming devices, electrical and electronic arts, semiconductor and solid-state technology, displays, imaging systems, automotive systems, and telecommunications.

In addition to her practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), Joanna managed and coordinated prosecution in foreign jurisdictions as well as patent infringement analyses projects in the United States.

Prior to becoming a Patent Attorney, Joanna was an Electrical Engineer working in radio frequency (RF) circuits, including components of the circuits, and RF distributed systems.

During her time in Law School, Joanna worked full time as a Patent Agent, and during graduate school, Joanna worked full time as an Electrical Engineer.
When not practicing patent law, Joanna’s passion is music. She has a deep knowledge of different genres, artists, and bands, and enjoys attending concerts.  Joanna is fluent in Polish.
